HAWAII!

Okay guys… so you might have heard but WE WENT TO Hawaii!!!!!

So I’m kind of pumped and today I’m going to tell you all about it. Since I can’t squeeze all of the amazingness onto one blog I’m going to just highlight a few things about our trip.

First off me and Blaise weren’t even supposed to go! Can you believe it how would they have survived without me!? We were supposed to stay with Gigi but that didn’t work out, so then mom and dad Blindfolded us, took us to the airport and said SURPRISE! WE’RE GOING TO HAWAII! And in my brain I was just like

…What? 😶

But we really did go to Hawaii and for two nights We stayed at a resort in Lahaina, where we went to a Luau and saw some traditional Hawaiian dances, and at the end we watched these two guys and one of them lit their hand on fire! I’m not even joking! It was crazy they were throwing their sticks of fire into the air and catching them!

Now we kind of had to get a bit creative with the sleeping situation because Mom and Dad had only planned to get rooms for the two of them so me and Blaise switched off. One of us would sleep on the floor and one of us would sleep on the pull-out couch alternating each night.

When we drove to Kihei I was expecting more of the same stuff–like a resort with golf and stuff, you know? But it was more of a regular hotel and even better that the Lahaina resort also had a HOT TUB!!!!! And a pool and the ocean was right next to it but anyways… A HOT TUB!!!!

The next few days we went to a cafe called Kihei Cafe and it was amazing. The Loco Moco is white rice with a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and then gravy all over, It is TO DIE FOR!!!!!! 🤤😋

we also went to a mall and it had a Rip Curl in it and I got the cutest bathing suit ever! Mom says it makes me look like a California girl. It’s a two piece with an open back, long sleeves and like shorts for the bottoms

That night dad was set on going in the hot tub and me and mom were like, “meh don’t really want to.” I could literally see the look of betrayal in dad’s eyes when mom said, “Me and Mica are going to walk along the beach.” Mom made me do cartwheels on the beach even though I’m really bad at them.

We also went to this little shopping area that was a cluster of little stores and got a bunch of little trinkets. I got a cute little bracelet that in one store was $8.99 and in another was $7.99. I got the cheaper option. Obviously😜

And then, our whole family was in this one shop that has a bunch of glass figures and next thing we know Blaise accidentally bumps one of the triangles with like layers and a purple ball inside and it crashes to the ground. It’s chipped and we have to buy it. Mom is not happy. Blaise is not happy. I am not happy. I don’t know about dad, he seemed fine, but I’m guessing he was unhappy.

We got a few other things and rocketed.

That’s about it. There are three instances of something I left out. I need to tell you separately because it is so life changing. Here goes: IF YOU EVER GO TO HAWAII YOU NEED TO GET SHAVED ICE!!!!!!!!! It is amazing, especially if you get ice cream in the shaved ice. The first time we went to shaved ice, the guy getting us the shaved ice looked like he had had…better days. He was bruised and cut up, he said that he was surfing and hit the sand too hard All I could think was “owwwww.”

The second time we went we didn’t like it as much because we went to a different place. Blaise’s dilemma was that there was no Orange Dreamsicle at this one.

Third time we went back to the original place and there was a girl there who was telling us how she got to Hawaii and she said she just kept visiting and liked it so much she stayed longer each time, this time she’s aiming for five months and it’s her third.

I hope you enjoyed my once-over of our trip to Hawaii!

Have you ever been to Hawaii? What was your favorite part?

Byyyyyyyye (sorry that I haven’t written on my blog in a while hopefully this long one makes up for it!) -Mica
