Hello everyone today I’m going to write a short story with the help of 101 story starters for kids that I got from Bryce and April (aunt and uncle) last christmas. I hope you enjoy it!

Lily had always wanted to see a unicorn in the wild… and now she was face to face with one of the magnificent creatures. Lily didn’t know where she was or how she got there but in that moment all that mattered was the unicorn and her. 

“AHHHHH IT’S A UNICORN!!!!!!!!!!” annnd the twins (Charlie and Charlotte) shattered that moment. 

Now Charlie and Charlotte were jumping up and down: seeing who could touch it’s horn first. “Charlie! Charlotte! leave the unicorn alone” Lily says in a stern voice. The twins…completely ignored her. 

Lily shrugs at the unicorn as if to say “sorry, it’s out of my control.” The unicorn snorts and raises it’s eyebrow only for a second but it was enough to tell Lily “this is how it’s done” right before the unicorn shoots a gold ball out of her gold horn. 

The twins stare at it in awe and then start chasing it. Pushing and shoving to see who could get to it first. Then the unicorn flicked its white mane and Lily could have sworn she saw a smirk on that unicorn’s face. Lily coughed “show off” into her sweatshirt sleeve.

The unicorn definitely heard her. Lily somehow heard a voice in her head that said “challenge excepted” The unicorn kneeled and nodded from Lily to it’s back. “You want a ride?” Lily heard the voice in her head and this time she was sure it was the unicorn.

Lily got on the unicorn’s back and then… they were off! 

The unicorn was way faster than any normal horse. Lily knew this because she did horseback riding. She couldn’t describe the ride in words. It was breathtaking and exciting. By the time the ride was over and Lily got off the unicorn she turned around to thank it, but it was gone a second later. The twins came running back still chasing the gold ball. It landed in Lily’s hands and in that moment Lily knew she was the luckiest girl alive.
